Goals
ADHD-International e.V. is dedicated to promoting the wellbeing of children, adolescents, and adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and associated conditions. We work to advance public health through comprehensive information and support.
Our mission is realized through educating affected individuals, their families, healthcare professionals and the general public about ADHD—its characteristics, progression, and treatment options.
We base our work on current scientific research and clinical best practices, maintaining cooperation with specialists and like-minded organizations.
We operate from a foundation of humanitarian responsibility, independent of ideological or political affiliations.
Our commitment includes offering self-help groups for experience exchange, advocating for the voices of those affected, and promoting research that examines and evaluates their lived experiences.
Board
ADHD-International is governed by an Executive Board elected by our General Meeting for three-year terms. The board structure includes:

The board manages the association’s operations, represents the organization legally, and oversees financial administration. Board members work collaboratively to advance our mission and ensure transparent governance.
Bylaws
Our Articles of Association establish ADHD-International e.V. as a registered non-profit organization based in Berlin. We operate exclusively for tax-privileged charitable purposes under German law.
The association maintains selfless operations—all funds are dedicated solely to our statutory purposes. We hold an annual General Meeting in the first half of each calendar year, which may be conducted in-person, virtually or in hybrid format.
Key governance principles include democratic decision-making through member voting, transparent financial reporting with annual audits and adherence to non-profit regulations. The full Articles of Association are available for review and outline detailed operational procedures.
Membership
ADHD-International welcomes individuals and organizations committed to our mission. We offer three membership categories:
Ordinary Members: Natural persons with full voting rights who actively participate in our mission and pay annual membership fees (due by March 31).
Supporting Members: Individuals or organizations providing financial and non-material support exceeding regular membership contributions, without voting rights.
Honorary Members: Individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the association, appointed by the board following General Meeting approval, with full voting rights and fee exemption.
Application
Membership applications are submitted in writing to the Executive Board. All members may attend General Meetings and participate in purpose-oriented activities. Membership resignation is possible with notice by September 30th. of the current year for December 31st. termination.
